What is a Style Graphic?
A style graphic is your opportunity to "brand" your template with your own personal style. It's what transforms a simple template into YOUR website. An appropriate Style Graphic would be your face, your logo, a photo of your band or CD Cover. Choose a high-quality image that you feel conveys the most about who you are and what you hope to let your audience know about you.
How to Create a Style Graphic
First, log in to your HostBaby2 account:
http://yourdomain.com/hostbaby2/ (replacing yourdomain.com with your actual domain.)
NOTE: You'll need to have an image uploaded to the Image Bank before you take this step. If you have not already done this, please see the Image Bank tutorial.
Once in, click on Website, then Style Graphic.
Choosing your Style Graphic
Once you've clicked in, you'll see a list of recommended images beneath the image. These are the images that the Wizard has determined are the best likely fit, based on their size/shape. If the Wizard doesn't see reasonably sized images, it will just list a random assortment. If you don't see what you're looking for, click show ALL your images.
In this case, I'm going to use the True Love Cafe image.
Modifying your Style Graphic
So here we can see my image. It's not exactly the right size or shape, but the wizard is going to help me crop it so that it can fit.
If I want to do a close-up on a specific area, I just drag the sliders in closer to the center, and then drag the window to the exact part of the image I want to isolate:
If I want to get as much of the image in as possible, I drag the sliders to the edges. I can preview the changes in the lower window before I click to crop the image.
The darker portion represents the bits that will be cut off, while the lighter portion show you the image as it will appear.
When you're happy with your results, click "Crop the Image" and you're done!
Now when you publish, the image will show up in your style graphic area. :)
And that's it! If you wish to change your Style Graphic at some point, simply click the click to edit option and repeat the process with a new image. :)
