Set Up your Account on Microsoft Outlook

You can set up any mail client with the following settings manually, however some email clients like Outlook 2007 and Thunderbird have an automatic setup - we don't suggest setting up your mail clients automatically as the general "default" settings may not work properly.

The general rule-of-thumb settings are:

Username - This will be your full email address (ex: info@remedyblue.net) Password - This is set by you under Settings > Email Settings > Manage Email Accounts

Incoming mail server - you can use POP or IMAP (see here for an explanation of the difference between the two) and the server is yourdomainname.com (ex: nathanbaby.com)

Outgoing mail server (SMTP) - yourdomainname.com (ex: nathanbaby.com)

  8. In here, be sure to select SSL authentication for your outgoing server, and to use port 465 (the default port). You can use SSL authentication for incoming mail as well (993 for IMAP and 995 for POP accounts) You can read about alternate port settings for SSL authentication HERE ->Advanced Settings - SSL & alternate ports
