Cannot log in?
If you are unable to log into the, here are a few things to try:
I. Make sure you have the correct login name and password
Verify you can log into the old wizard (see above). If you can, you have the correct login and password. If not, click the Should we email it to you? link on the login screen to have it sent to you.
II. Check your computer's system date and time
If the system date is way off (e.g. 12 or more hours off), this can prevent you from logging into the wizard even if you have the correct login and password. Fix your date and time stamp so that it is close to the accurate time. To fix your date/time on a Mac, click here. To fix your date/time stamp on a PC, click here for Vista and click here for XP.
III. Clear your browser cache and cookies
If both the steps above fail to get you logged in, clear your browser cache and cookies. For instructions on how to clear your cookies click here. For instructions on how to clear your cache click here .
IV. Disable your software firewall
If you have a software firewall, that can interfere with your ability to log into the Hostbaby2 wizard. The most common symptom is if you enter in your name and password, click the green log in button, and you are immediately prompted to enter the name and password again (no error message). If this is the case, try turning off your software firewall (step will vary depending on your firewall). If after disabling your firewall you are able to log in, consider adding your domain to the firewall's allowed sites so you can leave the firewall on but still access your site.
V. Try a different browser
We occasionally hear from customers unable to log into the wizard using Internet Explorer (IE) even when the previous 4 items have been attempted. The problem could be due to updates or changes in the security settings for IE. One quick and easy way is to attempt to log in with a different browser. Consider installing and launching an alternate browser and you should be able to get in. There are other benefits to having more than one browser installed as well. Here are some alternatives:
- Internet Explorer (those on version 6.x should seriously consider upgrading)
- Mozilla Firefox
- Safari
- Google Chrome
- Opera
