How to make an iTunes Store Link
From HostBaby Wiki
iTunes is quickly becoming a one-stop store for music, videos, as well as books. If you have products for sale there, it makes sense to make proper links to your products to place on your site. This document is designed to briefly overview the iTunes link maker.

Find yourself on iTunes
The first step is to simply find yourself with the iTunes link maker. Make your way to the link maker iTunes provides.
Once there, you should see a page similar to this:
This is basically a search tool to find yourself in the iTunes store. Make sure you select the proper search parameters.
- Search: Enter your name, or your product name, here
- Country: Country where this is sold
- Media Type: Self explanatory, search for music if you're looking for music, books for books, etc.
- Genre/Category: Also self explanatory, search via the right genre, or just select all.
In this example, we're looking for the soundtrack for Gemini Rue. Once you find yourself, we can look into making an appropriate link
Pick what to link
iTunes obviously has many categories/search parameters. You can see from the screenshot above that there can be several types of links made; either to the artist themselves, the album of interest, or even individual tracks.
In this example, we're going to hit the "Album Link" option
Tweak your link
Once you select what to link, you can adjust how the link will behave.
- Direct Link: If you have another image/set of text to make into a link, and simply needed the URL to your preview page, you can just snag the direct link URL to make into a link of your own.
- HTML With Link: 3 major options, which also gives a preview of what your link will render into below in the "HTML Link Test:" section.
- Small Button: makes a very small itunes button link
- Large Button: Not surprising, a larger iTunes button becomes your link
- Text only: Makes a link out of a line of text, typically indicative of what you decided to link
The box with all the HTML code to render your button is what you're interested in grabbing and pasting either into a Code Snippet Widget or into the main body of any of your pages with the HTML editor for Site Builder accounts or wizard 2 users. Developers of Full accounts should feel free to make use of the embed code as they see fit.
End result
Test your link, no matter what form of link you decide to use. The end result will take you a preview page provided by iTunes. Clicking on any of the links on the preview page will open up iTunes on your local machine (assuming you have it installed) for your purchasing pleasure. Enjoy!
