Grouping Songs on the Music Page

So now that you've added songs to your Music Page, the next step is to Group them. You can group them by any criteria you choose -- album, genre, subject matter, or anything else you might think of.

Grouping is particularly helpful if you have a great many songs and don't wish to visually overwhelm your audience with myriad options all present on one single page.

So now that you know why, here's how!

The first step is to make your group! In your music page, go to the "Create a New Group" Field. Make your group name, and press Go. Nothing new will pop up, but your group will be made. Here's how to put your songs into your newly made group.

Make sure you check off the check-boxes next to the songs you want to move. In the "Choose an existing group" drop down menu, you should have your group name show up there. Select that group, and click on Go.

The end result is as shown above. You now have songs set up in a group! You can minimize or expand the group by clicking the +/- sign next to the group name. If your group is minimized in the wizard, it will be minimized and click-able on your site as well. This is especially handy for those of us with a LOT of music, online.

If you only have one or two albums, it's fine to leave the groups open. If you have multiple albums, we'd recommend closing up those groups so as not to visually overwhelm your audience. :)

And that's grouping!
